Frequently Asked Questions

What age does my child or person I care for need to be to access your services? We currently offer places to young people of secondary age (up to 19 years old). We’d love to be able to offer places to younger/older people, but as we are a small charity we are unable to do so at this time. You may consider contacting your local carers centre for more information on what support may be available to you.

My child or someone I care for has complex needs, can you accommodate their needs? Each young person is an individual, and as such we will need to discuss what their specific needs are. Please get in touch and we can discuss if we are able to offer the required support. Please note, we unfortunately cannot currently offer support to young people who use a wheelchair or require regular medication. You may consider contacting your local carers centre for more information on what support may be available to you.

How much does it cost? Currently all our days out and trips are free of charge, but we welcome donations from anyone who is in a position to contribute. All of our team work on a voluntary basis, so all fundraising goes directly towards delivering our services. We currently offer places to young people of secondary age (up to 19 years old). Can we provide transport? Transport can be a bit difficult as we have young people coming from all areas of Glasgow, but we never want this to prevent anyone joining us, so we will try to assist with taxis/lifts etc. wherever possible.

How often are our days out/trips? We have monthly days out and two respite trips to Aviemore every year. We are also about to start a weekly summer sessions programme for up to 15 young people in the summer holidays. Please keep an eye on our social channels or our website for more information.
